Environmental Commodities Corporation (ECC) generates and supplies environmental attribute credits to regulated and voluntary participants in state, federal, international, and industry climate change programs. We are innovators, operators, and advisors that provides services across the entire lifecycle of emission reduction projects. With a background in technical innovation and project development, ECC delivers smart, tactical perspectives to clients in supply-side and demand-side markets.

ECC develops and sells emission reduction technologies to leading operators across the globe, including over 35 domestic sites. Our Methane Emission Control System is the only technology approved by MSHA and PADEP for remote, autonomous deployment on active underground mines.

ECC is a registered technical consultant under California’s ARB emission offset program. Our staff have directly worked on over 75% of all mine methane emission offsets generated in North America. We manage the largest fleet of emission reduction projects in the United States, including eleven of our own projects.

We’re comfortable doing field work in inclement conditions at remote sites, but we’re also pretty good at deskwork. Our successes (and failures) in the field lend a very pragmatic and operational perspective to our advisory clients, which have collectively generated over $35M in emission offsets. We advise regulators, investors, innovators, and companies that are interested or required to become involved the carbon market.

Operations are grouped into three categories:

  • Pollution Control Project Development – ECC builds, owns, and operates systems that reduce greenhouse gas emisions in order to generate emission offsets for trade in regulated and voluntary programs.

  • Offset Project Advisory Services – ECC advises established, emerging, and experimental projects intended to reduce greenhouse gas emissions associated with industrial processes

  • Invalidation Risk Mitigation – ECC performs extensive due diligence on behalf of companies contemplating the purchase of emission offsets.
